One of the many negative aspects of the promulgation of conspiracy theories regarding the results of the recent election is the fact that it has distracted us from a focus on what really happened.
While the internet has exploded with discussions of Special Forces raids on server farms and MI6 operatives in Rome, very little time has been spent determining factually what exactly just happened.
The reality is that it is not so hard to understand.
This was not a high speed, black bag job carried out in the dead of night.
This was more of a smash and grab heist in broad daylight.
Well in advance of the election, the Democratic Party hierarchy and their allies calculated that even with the support of media outlets that function as the propaganda arm of the left, even with Trump’s unpopularity amongst segments of the population and even with the deliberate destruction of the economy on the pretext that it was necessary to fight COVID-19, they could not defeat Donald Trump.
His supporters were highly enthusiastic. Joe Biden’s were lukewarm at best.
It was necessary then to do two things.
First, it needed to made possible for even those tepid Biden supporters, those who would never get off the couch to go to their polling place, to vote from the comfort of their living rooms by doing nothing more than licking a stamp.
That meant the massive implementation of no-excuse mail-in voting.
Second, since even then it was likely Biden would fall far short, the door needed to be opened to electoral fraud on a massive scale.
They needed to gut the system of all checks that were in place to determine the validity of ballots received in the mail.
So, while Trump’s supporters and the GOP apparatus slumbered, the Democratic Party and its allies went out and made this happen.
State by battleground state they enacted new legislation, interpreted existing legislation and laid the foundation for the theft of an election.
For hundreds of years, the United States of America had selected its presidents using an electoral system built on the principle of in person voting.
No more. Now virtually anything that arrived in the mail, regardless of who signed it, where it came from or when it showed up, would be counted.
As bad as all that is, the damage can still be repaired. State by state, we can go back and close the loopholes, roll back the changes and restore a system based on voting in person and establishing your right to vote.
But, the Democrats have thought of that too.
Two steps ahead as usual, they are not comfortable with simply resting on their laurels and letting their opponents back in the game.
Now they want to force the entire nation to accept in perpetuity the same no-excuses mail-in voting measures that just gave Joe Biden the White House.
The “For the People Act of 2019,” or H.R. 1 is currently moving through the House of Representatives. To use a Star Wars analogy, this is the Death Star of electoral legislation. This stunning bill if enacted would:
—Require that all states implement universal voter registration. You would no longer have to register to vote. You would be signed up based on information from state databases. Inevitably this means registering large numbers of ineligible voters, including illegal aliens. It also essentially guarantees multiple registrations of the same individuals.
—Mandate all states allow felons to vote.
—Order that all states extend periods of early voting.
—Require that all states allow same-day voter registration thus denying states the ability to check the accuracy of information submitted by someone registering.
—Limit the ability of states to cooperate to see who is registered in multiple states at the same time.
—Prohibit election observers from cooperating with election officials to file formal challenges to suspicious voter registrations.
—Bar states from making their own laws about voting by mail.
—Mandate no-fault absentee ballots. This is the simplest and most widely used tool by those looking to steal elections and cast illegal votes
—Require that voters without an ID still be allowed to vote as long as they sign a statement saying they are who they say they are.
—Transfer the right to draw congressional districts from state legislatures to “independent” commissions whose members are unaccountable to voters. This would take the power to control the drawing of districts away from the people’s representatives and hand it to unelected bureaucrats in Washington, DC.

And it gets worse.
After nationalizing American election laws, H.R. 1 would them place them under the control of a new Federal Election Commission.
The existing FEC has six members, three Democrats and three Republicans.
Four members have to approve of any measure in order for it to pass. This means no single party can change federal electoral rules.
The proposed new Commission would be entirely different. There would be five members.
They would be appointed by the president. The president’s party would get three of the five seats, and, therefore, be able to make any changes it wanted to electoral rules at any time.
Since the beginning of the republic elections have been run by the states, and the state legislatures have made the laws governing those elections.
Major attacks on those principles were seen in the last election as unelected officials and judges twisted existing law and, in some cases, simply invented new law.
This bill goes well beyond all of that. It represents a complete federal takeover of our election system.

More importantly, though, is the goal of the legislation in question.
The Democrats recognize the success they just had by exploiting the vulnerabilities of a mail-in voting system.
They want to expand on that success, implement it nationwide and guarantee their ability to rig and steal elections in perpetuity.
The prospect of one-party rule is chilling.
Without a healthy, free and fair electoral system our constitutional republic is living on borrowed time. The proponents of HR1 may claim it is about fairness.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
This is about fraud forever. This is the next step in the destruction of American democracy.
