Isla Fisher recently congratulated husband Sacha Baron Cohen on his 2019 Golden Globe nomination by sharing a video of her hubby working out while preparing for the role of Israeli clerk-turned-secret-agent Eli Cohen on Netflix series “The Spy.”

“So proud of the Hubs @sachabaroncohen getting a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a limited series,” Fisher, 43, captioned the clip. “He worked so hard transforming for his role in The Spy – not just getting rid of his dad-bod (see video) but learning three dialects including Syrian, and living in Casablanca, mainly in character for 4 months while shooting. This honor is shared with Eli Cohen‘s family, thank you for letting him bring the story to screen and to the HFPA .”
Many fans of the actor were taken aback by his new physique, recalling the “dad bod” Cohen rocked with a mankini in his 2006 comedy “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.”

“Late Night” actress Mindy Kaling was one of the first to comment on his ripped bod, writing, “great now I’m turned on.” Courtney Cox also praised the actor’s new workout routine, commenting, “Yes Sacha!!!! .” Comedian Chelsea Handler later added, “It’s important for us all to realize that Sacha is indeed hot.”
